Driving Test Required?
 

We're looking to move to Alberta or Nova Scotia and wondered if there was a requirement to take a Canadian driving test? If so, how does it compare to the UK please?

fraid so.....and just to mess with your head, each province seems to have a different system in place......BC is not the same requirements to alberta, as to sask, as to manitoba, as to etc etc......soz! can't speak for alberta but someone will be along to help you......

You can exchange your UK car licence for an Alberta car licence and you will not have to take any tests. Sam

What about for Ontario?
Bizarrely enough, I've just been hunting the Wikis for this very topic... Is there a good guide to what you can do where out there?

In Ontario, you can exchange a UK 9except Northern Ireland I believe) license for an Ontario one without having to pass a test unless you have had your license for less than two years, in which case you'll have to join the graduated licensing system.
