Default Driving in Ontario with a GB licence

Hi,

I'm going on holiday to TO at the beginning of May for a week and we've decided to hire a car. I have a full British licence but have held it (at that point) for 23 months.

Someone said you need to have had your licence for two years before you can use it but I can't find any information to support this.

Any advice please?

Thanks

As far as I know it's two years if you are swapping your license

Worth asking the hire company if you are unsure of their restrictions

If you are just hiring a car with your GB licence (not swapping it for an Ontario one), it depends which hire car company you go with.

Back in 2005 I hired with Alamo and had only held a full UK licence for 4 months.

Probably best to check out the car hire companies and see what they say.
