Doggie Export Certificate

Whilst doing another clearout, I came across a quote for transporting out dog to Toronto, while checking it - I notice that they were goingt o charge for an export certificate.

We are now taking the dog ourselves on our flight, I thought I had everthing ready to go but did not think we may need an export certificate.

Any advice?

Cheers as always in advance

Re: Doggie Export Certificate

You don't need one, Defra gives them free of charge to your Defra vet, who in turn charges his/her own fee to complete it, but they're not required.

I chose to get one as I was bringing in an non-rabies vaccinated dog, but even so it isn't required at all - see the pet transportation wiki for your 3 import paperwork/vaccination options.
