Doctors Sick Line

Hi All,
Here in the UK you can have a self certification for the first seven days of sickness then you have to go see a doctor for further time off work. What is the proceedure in Canada if you are off work due to sickness.

Where I worked one had to produce a doctor's "note" after 3 days off.

Hello,
What I will be doing is commuting back and forward from the UK to NS for the first year or so.If I am unwell I can use the UK set up for the first week(self certification) but would need to get a doctors note from NS to cover my absence in the UK for anytime outwith the first 7 days.
Complicated I know ;)

Cheers
