1. At least Safeway, IGA and Save on do deliver in Vancouver.
2. Actually there was accompany about 15 years ago that tried on-line and telephone shopping of food and its delivery. It didn't last long.

Can't remember, it's been in corners of various basements for six or seven years.

I have a lumionous green trolley - the kids refuse to use it!! I also have one of the metal ones the little old Asian ladies use - but all the stuff falls out unless you line it with cardboard and look like a nutter!

Funny. I was going to post about this too, but was a little ashamed to admit to my ownership and use of one I've pretty much moved away from the way I shopped in the UK with the one visit a week to load up, and now walk a few times a week to my local Sobeys and other specialist shops. I then wheel my trolley home Although I miss Waitrose I love not having to drive to a busy supermarket. Definitely the way to do it.

My trolley/cart came free from Sobeys when I once spent $100. It is a classy black one with wheels that can even handle snow.

Why visit when Ocado or Waitrose will deliver for a couple of quid

When I lived in London I used to shop at Waitrose in Finchley Road maybe every three days then walk or tube home. Once I moved out of London and became a car owner I would drive to Waitrose even though I could have walked with a trolley load of goodies. No reasonable excuse really.

Now I'm 43km from the nearest Loblaws...........

Nah, they are just quite big. Mind you the snow does make things rust a bit and the wheels squeak, but a bit of 3-in-1 sorts it out. This is the kind of excitement I moved to Canada for.
