Do I charge VAT as a Canadian freelancer?
So I am moving back to Canada and I will be working remotely for UK university as a project coordinator/researcher I already registered as self-employed in Alberta. My original base is Germany but since I can't conduct the same duties as a self-employed for my German employer (Germany is just super complicated) I have the option of moving my external funds to the UK - project partner and be paid by them. Question is do I put VAT on my invoices for work done in Canada? Thanks in advance
