It doesn't bother me if the somebody wants to work here illegally; if they can live with the constant fear of being found out and deported then all power to them. But I can see why it irks those who spend a lot of time and money on the immigration process. |

Re: Do British Citizens NEED a Canada work visa
I dont see how it makes any odds how much anybody spends ? so do you think that the person who spends £8000 on a lawyer & consultant should be angry at the person who does it themselfs for £1500 ?
I say live and let live, this guy is looking to do 7 or 8 weeks ! if this is his greatest crime on earth then let him be nominated as a saint  or do we think that this will lead to greater crime ? maybe international drug courier or graduate to being a master criminal as a result of his trip to Canada, back in the days before the Euro the whole of england went to france to pick grapes, I never saw them Queing at the mayors office for there Carte de sejouire ( i think that is what it was called ) they just jumped the channel and worked "black" and never saw the problem ? but now all of a sudden there all high and mighty because they filled in the form and paid a cheque :p |

Quite right too. There are a lot of people who get on their high horse about criminal behaviour. These people need driving out so the rest of us don't have to follow their stupid "laws"
Fair enough UK is descending into the mire now but these countries are effectively taking you under their wing and all you can do is just gripe about them too. Hopefully they get rid of you too so you can all just reclaim some land from the sea and start your own miserable nation. You're acting like my proposal was gonna leak out half of Canada's GDP or something. As it happens I had emailed CIC for clarity on coaches exemption and was awaiting a reply because the telephone people aren't trained in immigration. You obviously have been so much help in the interim. Also @ Alan2005 I'm inclined to believe the odd oldie here did the odd job whilst on the ski slopes/backpacking trail in their youth and are just bashing me now to deal with their guilt. The world is still spinning. @Lethe you are such a nice person aren't you?? and no I have not booked my ticket, though if I get clearance to go over there the offer to teach you some flips is now off. |

Ignoring all/most of the other posts.
Yes sports coaches do need a work permit they are not exempt. I doubt you would get any cash in hand work here, not because of people wanting to comply with the law but more because of the Canadian habit of employing someone you know, or someone someone you know knows. Plenty of Canadian students out there. In the meantime get your head out of your arse and grow up. |
