Life here is great BUT I think realistically for our families future we may have to move back to the Uk:(

I think your OH needs to check why he is being taxed so high - like someone else says - it could be that he is being taxed as a single man. My OH's workmate is taxed as such and comes home with less than my OH even though they both bring home the same gross amount.
