DIY renovation warning
 

If you are planning a DIY renovation on your home you should be aware that a lot of building materials used years ago contained asbestos.
In fact when I asked 3 different flooring contractors to remove the sheet vinyl flooring in my house (built in 1983). They said that they would not remove any vinyl sheet or vinyl tile flooring in homes older than 1986. Instead I was referred to an asbestos abatement contractor ($$$$$$).
