Default Delaying landing of "Dependants"

Hello nice people,

I am a primary applicant who has received his landing papers for myself and my wife. In this process we have had a baby whose name is obviously not on the landing papers.

My landing papers expire on the 9th of January 2002. If I do my landing without my wife..would this do any harm ?

- Can my wife's landing papers be re-issued ?
- Can my baby be added to her papers ?
- Once landed can I return to Pakistan for a few months ?

Will appreciate help and advise...

First - inform the visa office of the arrival if the child. They will ask you to
return your visas as they are technically invalid as you have an unexmined family
member and cannot legally land. If you do go ahead and land without divulging the
existence of the child you will have a bigger headache with immirgation in Canada
when you try and sponosr your wife and child.

Since you have a new child your present visas are no longer valid! You must report
the birth of this child to the visa office and ask for their instructions. Do not
even think about landing with your present visas. Jim Humphries, former visa officer

Hello nice man,

The first thing everybody must do if either the main or second applicant is pregnant
is to advise in writing to the Embassy. Normally, the process is stopped and
continued after birth.

You are not allowed to land. Your baby must take also the same medical exams you had.
You must inform the Embassy about your situation and probably they will ask you to
return your visas for continuing the process or send you medical forms for your baby.
Since you have now another dependent, new funds may have to be demonstrated and you
will have also to pay processing fees for your baby's visa.

Diego.

The amendment of your family status (ie., the child) requires that the landing
documents be returned to the visa office. Medical examinations for the child will
have to be conducted before landing documents can be re-issued. The child may be
included as an accompanying dependent at that time.

If your landing documents are not valid for a sufficient duration, however, and the
visa office is unwilling to extend the validity of your own medical results, or to
reissue medical examination forms for you and your spouse, you may be asked to
resubmit the application.

The child cannot be amended without the return of all the landing documents.

You had the obligation to notify the visa post about any change in the family status.
Now your landing papers are invalid - you must return them with your child's
documents and $100 application fee to the visa post. If you land now without a child
and try to sponsor your baby later you may be charged with fraudulent landing and
deported from Canada, so don't even think about it.
