ecas: I think the unreliability is due to the fact that its update depends on the visa officer working on your file and as this update is like a hassle for them they just dont care. dont think there's a supervisor checking if each visa officer did his/her update. I dont think there's such a thing as a centralised ecas update unit in each CIC office either.

Extra-role behaviour at work is a thing of the past!

My address on eCAS has been updated 3 times or every time we asked them to update it. Apart from that, nada.

I agree with you, it really depends on who is dealing with your case and even more the Consulate/HC which is processing it.
