decision made -buffalo

Hello dear friends/experts,

MY ONLINE STATUS : DECISION MADE
details:
We received your application for permanent residence on August xx ,2001.

We started processing your application on October xx, 2001.

We sent you a letter on June 15, 2002 about the decision on your application.

Medical results have been received

The letter i received dated june 14 ,2002 is the initial assesment letter stating that interview is waived and also i received the medical forms.on june 30 i done the medicals.

what does the decision made mean in my case is it that they have sent letter dated june 15 or is that letter means decision made.
Any discussion on this matter is appreciated.Experts pls share your experience.
Thanks
vikram

Re: decision made -buffalo

seems your processing has been concluded, the visa office will now send you a letter asking for your passports for the visa sticker... but then again, eclient is not the most reliable of services...

people are reporting that they are getting the letter within about 30 days of the status going to "decision made" and "meds have been received"..

hang in there, seems you are almost done...

Re: decision made -buffalo

you will likely get a letter in the mail within the next few weeks asking you to submit the passport (provided ofcourse the decision is positive)... if any additional documents are required (a lot of people have been asked for updated photographs at this point) then you will be specifically asked to provide those in the letter... you will be asked to include the letter they send you with the passport and return it back to them... you will have 30 days to send everything back to the visa office, and you can only send it in by mail...

As Andrew Miller has stated, this means a decision on some part of the
processing has been made, not that the *final decision* made. Shame
they don't put it in as "Medical decision made" or whatever.

Re: decision made -buffalo

stewart, its been observed that if the status goes to "decision made" after "medical results have been received" on the status website, it *usually* refers to the final decision...

on the basis of averages, 5 people have received letters asking for passports in about 30 days from it going to decision made... conversely, one family landed 3 months ago, their status still shows "in progress"... so you're right, its not a certainty, but a definate possibility... which is why i specifically said eclient is not the most reliable of services...

also... "medical results have been received" means a medical decision has been made as to the medical admissiability category the person falls under by ims...

then again... im not the profesional here...

Re: decision made -buffalo

well, my e-status was updated today with two more lines added:

"We sent you a letter on June 17, 2002 about the decision on your
application."

"Medical results have been received"

i was able to access my e-status only after the initial assessment.
and i know from my caips notes, today is the next BF'D. so it seems
that they will only update the e-status on the Bring Forward date.
which means ur file is currently being processed, not sitting
somewhere in the storage area. and the decision made may not mean
anything, it could be medical decision made, interview decision made,
or whatever. in my case, sec/crim/med are all passed, so i'm expecting
a request for passport from buffalo soon. get ur caips notes if u
really wanna know the details. e-status is really a work-in-progress,
not useful at all.

decision made -online status

I checked my on-line status agian this morning and found out the same
thing, 'decision made'. When I double clicked it, it showed my
interview date and they sent a letter about my application the same
day. Since I was told that I passed it then, I assuming that 'decision
made' only means interview passed ( I was told that backfround check
would take another 2-3 months). Although they have received my medical
result, it was not shown on the on line status.
Good luck for all!
