LONG daytrip I would say, and not so much worth a Visit since her MooChoperness left. (She was the last living dinosaur you know )

I was just going to suggest Elk Island....It is quite a bit of time in the car though isn't it@

If you go be careful...Last time I was there I turned around from a bbq to find two huge buffalo (or bison whatever...) strolling over to investigate me...!!! Got to love wildlife huh!!?

I guess it depends how close you are to Hwy 16- it's only 20 mins for me in Sherwood Park.
Know what you mean about the buffalo though. They blocked the road the first time we went....

45mins from st. albert if that helps at all. we had a nice day with a 9yr old, but make sure you take your mossy spray, the huntsman good stuff or you will be eaten alive. and a picnic.

Well worth the visit, but it would be a pretty long way. I love the scenery around there.

I think this might work as a day trip to check out the Reynolds-Alberta Museum http://machinemuseum.net/ If your kids love cars and planes ans stuff like that and it only 2 Km west of Wetaskiwin on Highway 13 :)

yeah that's a good one. Some times they have special event days as well as an air show sometime in the summer!

Sorry dbd, didnt you know?

She headed north to Stettler\Donalda region. Apparently she needs more space to roam? (Rumour has\had it there's a paddock and some equines on the horizon but you didnt hear that from me)

I know nuffink. I can understand her wanting a paddock to roam in but sharing it with equines seems a bit odd.

yes very much, the taxes are higher, but i think generally most would agree its reflected in the better services we enjoy. property prices tend to be on a par with edmontons better areas. it is much quieter, the top end of the city being the nicer neighbourhoods, erin, north, deer ridges and oakmount.
