Default Kindle, transferring UK content

I have been given instructions from Amazon about transferring to the.com site, they also say I can transfer my current UK bought Kindle books to the .com site (migrate). Has anyone done this and have they kept all of their content? I'm a bit scared to in case I lose all my books.

I haven't done it, but Amazon has some of the best customer service in the business, so, if something does go wrong, I'm sure they'll sort it out. The only problem I could imagine is if some UK books aren't available on .com, but presumably they can still let you download them from there if you bought them in the UK.

Just kept my amazon UK account. No problem downloading books to my UK registered Kindle.Do have my UK debit card registered to it so probably would NOT work on amazon.com.
Just as an aside, ordered some books from amazon UK on sunday evening, delivered here in Cebu Wednesday lunchtime! that's service!

LOL. Yeah, my Amazon UK orders normally arrive much faster than Amazon CA. But they ought to, given how much they charge for postage!

True, but if I can't get them here then just have to bite the bullet! Keeps Her Majesty indoors happy! That's worth every penny!

Why bother 'changing'. My Amazon and Kindle account are between UK, US and CA. Just change your contact info in your profile.

I can't buy Kindle books from Amazon UK, even using my UK account. If I want a British book, I buy the paperback instead, which means the publisher makes less money, but they still want to prevent me from buying their ebook.

Use a VPN, that works.
