Has anyone ever done one ?

it looks like we may have the option of in country landing as we are already here.

Has anyone done one ? i was all ready to take a trip over the boarder, but just popping down the local office seems great.

i'm torn between doing what seems like an easy option and driving for hours just to turn around and come back and doing a proper landing.

seems easy enough - but when I rang for an appointment I was told it was about a 3 months wait, 'so most people are chosing to cross the border as it's easier'. Depends on your timing I guess and when your deadline for activation is.

Kamloops to somewhere like the Sumas border crossing is an easy morning's drive, so not a big deal if you need to pop down to the Fraser Valley really.

where would be the nearest office to do it inland? We also live in Kamloops... was this information given to you when you received your passports back?

My husband got his PR in the Kelowna office in 2004.

i called them today, nearest is Kelowna, but its a 2 month wait right now
so we will be heading to the border
