Bound to be a 2 for 1 deal at somewhere like Swiss Chalet (Kill 2 birds with one stone & collect some condiment sachets & toilet rolls whilst your there, win win)...

Never thought of that who says there is no useful info on this site! Cheers. Acturally somebody just handed me a two for one at a Mexican restaurant in town. So I guess I better dig out my sambero.

Once again, those that would profess that they are tolerant, show their lack of tolerance - no specific names mentioned

this site is quite handy. Can't vouch for it's accuracy though
Nothing is accurate on that comparison.

We find almost everything here in Halifax is more expensive than in London UK, some even 3 times more expensive. We spent £300 for grocery a month in London, here we spend $600. The vegetables are particularly expensive here, fruits also are. You can get TWO pineapple for £2.50 from Sainsburys and they do that deal all the time. Here is $4.99 per one. Only very occasionally you get $1.99.

But is some of that because you are shopping like an English person and haven't yet adapted to a Canadian diet?

It is $160 off with a chance to get a further discount by scratching a card in store. I don't normally shop at Sears but I will go there tonight and buy this saw. The money I save I will take my wife to dinner. That is why I use the flyers plain and simple.
hahaha thats too funny, moh has been waiting for a 12" sliding mitreing compounding thingy to go on sale either in Crappy T or Sears (preferably Sears as he has gift cards from work to spend) - he did want a Dewalt one but saw the one you were looking at and has now procrastinated to the point of missing the sale (I think - I actually don't care - it's a f*****g saw for gods sake.)

However in this weeks Crappy Tire flyer there is a gun cabinet at 50% off - will be heading into town to buy this for him for fathers day - BARGAIN

So I suppose we flyer shop for stuff we don't really NEED but will buy if its cheap enough

I haven't done it yet but the financially rewarding diet switch would be from Pride to Cinquante. Also Marlboro to Injun, another step too far for me.

That wouldn't be too much hassle for most if the wages here were comparable, unfortunately, for most, they are not...

Well I'm not an expert yet but when I moved from France to the UK I spent the first 6 months trying to shop like I did in France - buying UHT milk for example. Once I started buying in the same way as English people did I found a difference in my weekly shopping bill.
Does that make sense?
