Coquitlam? Cloverdale? Langley?

We're considering the above areas as possible places to settle when we arrive in Canada.

Can anyone tell me the pros/cons of living in those places? Sense of community? Family friendly? (we don't have one yet but its a priority ;) ) Commute? Outdoor spaces? General standard of living?

Feeling very confused!

Thanks!

Try asking on:

It was a question that came up recently on there.

I have lived in Westwood Plateau (North Coquitlam, borders with Port Moody) and I loved it there. Good choice of rec centres, schools, family friendly etc.

It depends on where you are going to work.If you are going to work in Vancouver, I would choose Coquitlam,no bridge to cross during the
rush hours. But it is more expensive than Cloverdale and Langley.
If driving during rush hours is not a problem ,then the other 2 would be
fine. I have friends living in Langley and Cloverdale, did not hear any negative things except lots of complaint about the traffics. The 3 places have good recreational centers, open spaces and friendly to families.

The only place that gives me the creeps is North Surrey, recently they
found hazardous chemicals dumped by the drug dealers and the authorities
almost had to evacuate the whole area. It is a rough area, however the
crack houses are gradually being bulldozed for new development.
Good luck with your search:)
