There are no inner cities in Canada at all. It is a myth.

I have never lived in NB. Why would I want to live in NB? Even people that are from NB don't want to live in NB! They are moving to places to Toronto to look for jobs and a better life.
So, when somebody like you actually moves to NB, they must be falling over themselves to welcome you. It is such a rare occurence. Sorry, but your idea of "paradise" is not exactly shared by most people.

There are great chunking opportunities here for people. I have a good job with good rewards and benefits, a great standard of living, good social life, time to do the things I enjoy, ahhh I am as happy as pig in poop, what more can someone want?
If I sound smug it is because I feel smug

Phew ... good job others have kids to make sure you have someone to date, prescribe medicines for you when you are in your dotage and perhaps wipe your arse when you are really old.
I predict bitter, twisted, resentful lifetime ahead.

Shhh.. don't tell them about areas like that. It might dent the idyllic image they have of Canada of snow, white people that all speak english, with no crime, everyone lives in 10,000 sq ft houses, has 4 cars and a flat screen tv in every room.

Yep, I knew about the migration, and mostly it is down to money. Although young people feel the need to travel and learn about other things, which is good.

What is your good job based on? How can it be sustainable in the long term if the economy is imploding? And what about your children? What opportunities are they losing out on by being stuck in the middle of nowhere?
Of course, if you want to tie your fortunes to a sinking ship, ultimately that is your decision.

Yes Prat or Tosser, have similar derogatory meanings. I am not suprised that you are hearing these terms after some of your posts. Infact I am surprised the thread isnt littered with a few more, such as Dickhead, wanker (you know already so I guess you have had some other discussions with Brits who are impressed with your performance)

Did you buy a house? If people are moving out, how much do you think the price of your property will rise? How do you expect your net worth to rise in such a situation?

Fredericton is booming with two years of record development. House prices are rising.
The kids will get their education and with dual citizenship will be able to work/live anywhere in EU/Canada and easier to work in USA. That is the gift I am giving them.

Far from me to advise where to go. Just that Europe does not offer the best balance between quality of life and opportunity that one should strive for.
If it is a toss-up, i'd go for opportunity. Which is why i'm happy in London, thank you. For goodness sake. Come on, France, Italy? I mean do you what life is really like there? A trash dump would be better. Not for the world, thank you.

I'm not so sure about that. One of my children worked her gap year between Geneva (Swiss citizen thanks to her mother) and Dijon (EU citizen thanks to me) and loved Dijon. I think she'd be there now but for taking up with an American. No country in Europe is comparable to a "trash dump".
