Sounds to me like "Harry" has a self image and he wants to maintain it regardless of his feelings for Sally.
In other words it's all about Harry and no-one else, Sally might just as well be an accessory.

Leaving aside the money issue, if Harry loves the opera, theatre, fine wines, etc, then is Canada really an ideal place for him anyway?

It's not a great deal of encouragement, but the only place that Harry is going to find quality theatre and opera in Canada is Toronto. Where is Sally?

A bigger problem I think is that it's difficult to be highly regarded here. It doesn't really matter if Harry parks a Bentley in his designated parking space in Mississauga it's not going to make him the object of envy in the way that even a BMW or Mercedes might in London.

I think that Harry has an easy discission to make. He obviously has comfortable life in London with all his needs, likes and toys etc. The only thing Canada has is Sally. Obviously Sally isnt that important to Harry or he wouldnt have even considered using us as a cheap answer to Harry's moral dilemmas.
