Common law sponsorship, waiting on OWP and EI parental benefits
Hi I hope somebody can help.
I have applied for common law inland sponsosrship, my iec expires March 27th I’m assuming I won’t have received my OWP by then and I’m applying to change my statues to visitor incase my app gets returned and I go out of status however I need some help.
1. I’m currently on parental leave until July 29th this year. Will I have to ring EI and pause payments? Will I be able to reinstate when my new new OWP comes through?
2. My Canada child tax should I change it to my partners name so we can continue to claim if so how do I do this.
Any experience or help is very much appreciated
