I am qualified level 1 coach in british gymnastics training for my level 2 and am wondering if i would be able to find work coaching in a canadian gymnastics club. In the Calgary area. Thanks.

I suspect you would once, if you are required to do so, you have converted your qualifications to their Canadian Equivalent.

COP has a large gymnastics facility and Gymtastics have a large facility off Deerfoot Trail and Glenmore Trail. Here is a link: http://www.gymtastics.ca/

In Canada - you can study and take your level 1 at 16 - my daughter is working towards this - sadly the pay is around minimum wage but its a great part time job for her! You would probably need more experience/ qualifications if you wanted this to be a full time position. The competition is very strong here in Ontario!

Cochrane also has an excellent gymnastics arena, run by an off-shoot of the University of Calgary - for your information. It is at the Spray Lake Leisure Centre.

Luxel,

I am looking to do the exact same! I'm a UKCC level 1 gymnastics coach and looking for positions in Alberta, particularly Calgary. Please let me know how you get on?

I'm hoping to find a job offer that will get me a twp but not sure how the LMO is for level 1 gymnastics coaches over there, it's not on the top ten list of occupations needed anyway but I'm hoping there is still a demand for us!
