ahahhahahaha I love this thread. This thread is *almost* as good as the Perth threads in the Australia forum. Almost.

This made me laugh out loud. Thank you.

Yeah, the Perth ones seem to generate more heated discussion...the Saskatchewan one rates more a meh...

It's a comparison of aaaaargh hellhole on earth I hate it OMG why did I ever come here vs. this place kinda bites oh well, what's for dinner...

Hahaha that's hilarious.

However, I think arguing about how great/lousy a place is is quite silly. Trying to get everyone to like/dislike a certain place is like trying to get everyone to like/dislike a certain shirt.

What does the shirt look like?

I agree 100% with what your son had to say. Does he work for News 980? I can see the paid shills at that station saying something like that. On that station it's all about, "we only report positive news on the Saskatchewan economy".

I had to go back and re-read your earlier post. Thanks for posting it--it just confirms what my wife has said for years.

You are welcome. It's the truth. Whenever my wife and I are off the same day, she'll say, "What do you want to do today"? And I just look at her like she's crazy. Then she'll say, "I know, I know it's boring here". :D

In all seriousness, don't rush in. Take your time and visit the place and really do your homework. It's not all bad. There really are some nice people here.

Why don't you give the keyboard a rest until you KNOW what you're rambling on about.

What's your problem?

I reported an experience relayed to me by my son, who lives in Regina.

I asked another poster, who appears to have removed the rose tinted Regina spectacles, to comment on that opinion.

I take it you disagree with it? If so please elaborate.

My problem is with people like you who are more than willing to troll this forum and give some narrow minded opinion on a subject that they know nothing about, in your case 15000 posts in 5 years reflects a shallow existence, rather than getting out and experiencing what Canada has to offer.
You readily admit having never been to Saskatchewan but jump on the bandwagon of SK bashers using secondhand information to portray Regina as city that has 5 murders on a weekend ,absolute BS.never has happened here and I've checked this fact with a couple of mates in S.W.A.T.before posting .
Maybe it irks you now that SK has overtaken the center of the universe regards earnings/low unemployment, and rather than being the wannabe Province we are now the happening Province.Who knows what goes on in the minds of GTA residents?
Elaborate enough? More truthful facts if you want them.BTW,I don't live in Regina,I have done in the past and my work is based there nowadays, but I've never had any crime related issues.
If you really want to sit on your high horse and spout off about anti-social,criminal,illegal immigrant, social welfare issues etc try taking a look in your own backyard, address the situation there then come back on here and talk about something you know about as opposed to hearsay gossip.
Grow a pair and get a life !!

There's seems to be direct correlation between how shit a place is and how defensive people are about it.

It doesn't mean there aren't nice people who enjoy their lives and raise their families, but, and we've had this discussion before, there's a reason why the property prices in London, Paris, New York, St. Tropez etc are higher than the cities on the prairies of the Canadian mid-west.
