Default Christmas drinks - Van Isle

Anyone out here in or around Victoria fancy getting together for some Christmas drinks at some point?

Post interest here and we can discuss details later...

hm, vancouver island is a bit more than greater victoria, isn't it?

i keep an eye on this thread - if your meet-up happens to fit into my schedule i might join.
(but i'm selfish enough not to drive close to three hours one way just for a quick drink, even during christmas break. it's a different story if i'm in victoria anyway - which is on my list, but as always, it's going to be a relatively short term decision.)

What lof said applies to me as well, albeit the one way drive in winter would be more like two hours for me.

Sorry - I put Van Isle purely because this is a whole of Canada forum - was trying not to narrow it down TOO much LOL.

Come on Judy winter schminter, it's wet not snow.

You're an ex-Calgarian you've driven the Deerfoot 500, you should be able to make that drive in an hour and fifteen minutes tops.

there is still the malahat, which is high enough to get a snow cap...

steve, have you experienced vancouver islanders driving in snow? they panic just thinking about that white stuff.... (i actually don't doubt judy's ability to handle the conditions...)

Yes I have driven Vancouver Island in all conditions so I'm well aware of the "dreaded Malahat".

I have family in Duncan and up until a couple of years ago visited at least once per year. Missed last year and this but likely will be out again next year.
