Not sure what you mean by the entire package?

Well actually we came across the area by chance because my inlaws retired here 15 years ago (they had visited from Calgary and also fell in love with the province, the South shore in particular 😀) So we lived here around 7 years ago for about 9 months, we got married and then lived in the UK for almost 6 years, but we always missed it and last year we decided we were going to move back here and settle down. It just suits us, lots of beautiful natural areas, affordable and very appealing properties in the country, friendly people and a peaceful vibe. Halifax is a very cool city too, small and manageable as cities go, we are country folk but only being an hour from Halifax is perfect whenever we want to go in for our city "fix" and the drive in is easy, scenic and traffic free (if it isn't during rush hour on the city end) unlike the UK where the traffic in most places at most times was gridlock! There's also lots of places to visit not too far away, different beaches, quirky towns, cape Breton is beautiful, the area just really suits us

Well I applied online 'Inland' because I came to Canada as a visitor and my wife then sponsored me to stay... so with the online application you submit on a portal and then create a tracking account where you can see updates and receive messages from IRCC if anything is missing or needs amending. My understanding of applying through the mail is that the stakes are higher in terms of making sure absolutely everything is filled in correctly with nothing missing because I believe they will return the application in the mail and then you will have to amend whatever is missing and then mail back, and of course this will make the processing time so much longer and be a real pain! Can you apply online in your situation or does it have to be in the mail? :)
There wasn't an on line option when I did it. Which is why it's important for something like this to be in the immigration part. |

See, my comment about the package being returned was based on my experience of that being the only way but it was out of date and therefore a good example of why it was better to go to the immigration section. |

We are applying by online and didn't even know you could do it via mail! I have watched YouTube videos etc and the advice is to proofread a few times before submitting. Just didn't know what happens after you hit 'submit'! thanks again |

I'm afraid you misunderstood. It was Sairabe I was encouraging to go to the immigration section - see post number 15.

What happens after you hit submit will depend on the visa you're applying for - which one?

The taxes are high yes, but house prices are cheap which is a big selling point for us, and poor health care isn't true, at least for where we are..The hospitals are more than adequate and we have a family doctor who is wonderful based in Liverpool
Hopefully the provincial government gets the chance to continue its work to sort it out and everybody can enjoy good health care again. |

I will, in the best possible way, disagree with you there. LIke you, we have a great family doctor. I know nothing of the hospitals down in LIverpool area - sounds like you are fortunate indeed. But it is simply not arguable that health care in this province is abysmal. For a newcomer to NS they will join those 160,000 on a waiting list for a family doctor. That in itself is poor. A simple Google or glance at reddit or something like that will give plenty of anecdotal evidence.
