Child abuse?

Re: Child abuse?
You see, although Lock Stock was a good film, I prefer the more classic British gangster movies. Long Good Friday and Get Carter. If I had to choose from the more modern genre it'd be "Welcome to the Layer Cake son".

Certainly not. I do, however, have a client there. I haven't noticed that any of the workers at that site bleed or have squished craniums but I admit I've not audited their children and anyway try not to study the physical features of computer people.

Yes but a two and half year old running around shouting, "I'm a geezer, I'm a geezer" has got to be worth a few chuckles.

Or worse as I have seen a few times recently - an immigrant to Canada complaining about who CIC lets in.

I have a 17 year old son who fits into the "I am not sure wot I am" category, he was 5 when we came over....my hubby and I are very English...and both my boys are trying to be very CDN to fit into society, he has said he sometimes feels lost and doesn't know where he fits in...do I think this constitutes child abuse.....absolutely NOT....just means as parents we have a little more work to do to help them feel secure and hope they come out of teenage hood well balanced....do I think they are better off here in Canada, guess it depends where one chooses to live....I always say, same shit diff country....wot I have noticed about my boys tho compared to my friends children in the UK....they are much more street wise than mine...its swings and traffic lights!!!

i s'pose it could be interpreted in many diff ways...but for me I define it as I speak very English, I know a lot of Brits come over and end up changing the way they speak.....some end up putting an accent on (most of em wont agree and will disagree with me that they sound diff, but some of them do have a CDN twang) some change the words to the North American equivalent, its not that I refuse too....its just I like using the language I was taught as a child...my husband will say toe may doe....I still tomatoe!!! I watch all English TV...I listen to Virgin Radio (absolute now) I eat Englishy, always have salad cream and branston and bisto gravy granules in the house etc....I drive a mini....I love living in Canada and don't want to go back to the UK...but I enjoy having the things around me that I enjoyed in the UK...and with today's technology and the world becoming smaller...its so much easier!!
