Charitable donation back in UK
 
Hi there, i want to make a donation to a friend's charity run in the UK but i would appreciate some advice on how best to do this...ie i can't claim gift aid because i don't pay tax in UK but think i also can't use my donation here, because it's not a canadian charity. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You make the donation ignoring any possible tax consequences. Quite simple, I should think.:p

You send some money to a friend or family member while, completely coincidentally of course, they make a donation of the same amount of money to the charity...

i was thinking that, then they can claim gift aid. Thanks
