Cell phone in Calgary
 

I tried to get a cell phone on Virgin from Real Canadian Superstore, on the "Tab" month by month plan (no contract) but when the assistant tried to put it through, it kept getting rejected and saying my SIN number wasn't valid.

I'm on the IEC visa so don't have PR status.

I guess it is running a credit check and rejecting me...

It's looking like my best option is to go pay-as-you go, but just wondered if anyone had successfully signed up to the month by month cell plan on a temporary visa?

Try KOODO, I got a phone on a 'tab' when I forst came over here with no problems.
