So I would expect slower through customs, more questions being asked, and long line-ups.

Have to say, I don't blame them one little tiny bit!
Exactly..

I heard that this morning on CBC radio's 9 am world news.

Great news. Hope it's a good agreement for everyone, and goes through

I just briefly overheard on CBC radio for a whole 3 hours of waiting time, for all the documentation to be processed upon arrival.

Whether that's strike or averted strike related, or US Americans able to enter the country, I don't know.

I could only imagine a 3 hour wait at immigration as an additional infection risk.

I saw that in this morning's paper, and it seems to be related to fully vaccinated people coming to Canada with documents wrong or incomplete ............... eg, fully vaccinated but not with one of the approved vaccines, wrong test, test out of date, etc.

The 3 hours seemed to be quite common before today, the American visitors might only make it worse.

Pre-Covid my YYZ experience was rather quick and easy. Mostly arrived at T1 and it took me only 15 minutes through immigration, the only wait was at the baggage claim and maybe at the customs when exiting.

3 hours wait and no possibility of social distancing. Must be pretty awful.
