Catch 22!

I'm currently waiting for my 1st year IEC to come through. I am currently in a fulltime position in England, hence why I am not prepared to move to Canada without first securing a position (unless its the last month before my visa expires). The only option I believe I have is to fly out everytime I have interview, and again with this option is I don't know if canadian employer would consider me if I was applying from abroad.

I am just considering all my options, and trying to get any advice from anyone who had found themselves in the same situation.

Thank you in advance

Why did you apply for it in the first place? Also, we're in late September now. If you're still waiting for an IEC to come through, your application most likely hasn't been successful.

I am planning to go, I am just seeking advice from those who faced problem and how they dealt with it. The only reason I am waiting for IEC is because I applied few days before the deadline which was in September.

I think you'll find that was far too late. Apply again in early January 2014.

What's a CIC? Is it a visa? Not heard of it in this context.

Sorry I am not being clear. I received my WTN number after my form went through on 2nd round, and I was given till September to apply for using MyCIC, which I did and confirmed the cic number to myIEC. So now I am just waiting for the confirmation letter I take to Canada

So did yuou have a full time job when you applied for the IEC visa? I suppose it depends on how much you like your job, how hard it is to find full time in your field and whether or not you reall do want to work in Canads. Only you can decide.

Thanks Bats, I still have full time job here in the UK. I am determend to to make in Canada, so I guess I will probably have to make sacrifices and go there without a job and start looking when I get there.

Please all check that any qualifications you have that are uk are accepted here as Trained nurses have to sit Canadian tests and not all pass also some exams are not acceptable.
Jobs too you may be in the bottom and only taken on part time thus causing financial hardship check and double check

I work in the post-production (tv/film) industry which is all about experience and capable finding jobs doing the same thing as I am doing now.
