which car to rent

Hi

I am just looking to book a car rental and wondered how big they are. I know this sounds daft but on most of the sites it shows how many people or kids, but the baggage seems small. I know its tempting to leave a kid behind, but when it shows a picture of only one or two cases where am I gonna put the other 5 that we will be bringing. Do the Canadians not use the boot or are the sites misleading
There are 3 adults, one child and maybe 6 cases, any suggestions. Only about which car please:blink::thumbsup:

A couple of times when we've rented with Hertz, we've been offered upgrades to mega vans for next to nothing when we landed - worth thinking about, rather than booking a huge vehicle up front....

many thanks, do we book the full size car then as they may be a little suspicious if we book the compact. We have been spoilt over here as we have always had a 4x4 that acts as a great taxi, skip etc etc. i don't realy want to pay nearly £200 for a week tho as once we off load in Ed we will only need a run around.

Gay, I take it the dodge caravan is not the same as a dodgy caravan, will all me plates not smash as we career around the corners:lol:

Hi - I think booking the full size ought to do it - try see if you fit in and upgrade only if you need to and explain that you want to change back seeing as you will only need to carry 4 once you have unloaded the baggage.
We did a similar thing on one of our trips - we upgraded to a Crown Victoria (huge) then found it didn't fit in our friends parking stall, so took it back and no problem to change it.

Depending on how far you've got to go, why don't you get one of the adults to follow in a taxi with a few bags and that way you'll avoid the hassle of going back changing cars and getting back to where you want to be......??

As far as advice on cars goes, we found the Chrysler Sebring quiet good for two adults, one little one with obligatory seat and three good size cases and a couple of rucksacks. Nice car for getting around as well.........

good luck
