Car Insurance Query - UK No Claims and 2 Year Canada...then what?

We have 7 years UK No claims which our current Canadian insurers took on. If we wish to move to another insurer - what happens? Will they just accept 9 years Canadian no claims or will they only look at the 2 years Canadian no claims we have?

All help appreciated.

They'll just take whatever star rating you currently have (Canadian insurer). You might be able to negotiate more, depends on the number of stars you have now and how badly they want your business. 6 stars are the maximum, plus you can pay a little more for protection from one claim...how many stars do you have now?

How would I find out how many stars I have - I assume maximum as we had 7 years UK no claims...?

It should be on the policy somewhere?

My guess is they likely gave you at least 3 initially then you earned one more per year...so could be 5 or 6?
