Merry Christmas folks!

I am looking at car insurance quotes and they are coming in at over 3k a year, nothing like what I would expect in the UK - Is there any companies who specialise in drivers who've got a clean licence (long term) abroad?

It's a wacky system they have in Canada! With over 30 years of claim and point free driving in the UK I pay the same rates in Canada as my 21 year old daughter with 4 years claim free driving. What would cost me £250 in the UK is now $2000 so defiantly a case of the good /experienced drivers subsidising the younger or more accident prone. Maybe the only benefit I can think of is if you had only one car then the whole family can drive it on the policy so in that instance maybe not as bad.
