can't find the UK to Canada Plug adapter

Hi there all I went out today to the shops to get my UK to Canada Travel Adapter Plug but I could not find it anywhere. I tried Maplins, Asda, Tescos and loads of other shops and all they had were US/Canada to UK plug adapters. :(

Does anyone know a website online that has it so I can buy it today. I leave for canada next week and need a couple. Need it for my laptop, phone charger. Hope someone know a place as I am having trouble getting hold of it.

Try luggage stores and get the samsonite universal plug that converts anything to anything (pin and plug wise).

Your other bet is airport on your outbound flight.

Good luck

Just plug it in backwards. It'll work fine.

What I did when I found I had the plugs for another country was to move to that one.

i was going to say Argos, that's where we got out stash. However, just looked on the website and can't find any. Try Woolworths, or failing thaat they definately sell them at the airports.

That's odd, I've looked for but never seen a US in, UK out plug in the UK in anywhere other than semi-specialty shops. The ones in supermarkets are UK in, US/Canada out for British travellers.

Asda sell them in their holiday section with the suntan oil, inflatable travel pillows, lugagge locks etc - they were 93p or 97p, I forget which, when I bought my handful. Also seen them in Woolies, Morrisons, Boots etc.

Good luck :)

Try Boots or your local pharmacy. Failing that you should get one at airport.

You will also get one here in Canada at The Source and most likely Walmart. We bought one from The Source with multi flip-out pins as seen here.

So, all those stores sell adapters that allow visiting North Americans to plug in when in the UK but don't sell adapters that Brits can use when going to North America? Are we having a blonde moment?

Not at all. They bank on that you buy the plug on your way OUT at the airport and had you forgotten you can then get them in a shop in the country of your destination.

Best place to get them is at places that sell luggage. or at airport before your outbound flight.

How in the devils name of bee el ze bub are you going to cope in another country? Either that or you're pulling a fast one as we say here in Poland.
Is this plug to be used in the winter months?

If worst comes to worst and you can't find one, be pro-active.

Just cut the plug off, bare the wires and shove them in the appropriate holes in the wall.

And relatively inexpensive I would say.
Are the plug sockets for outer Mongolia the same as mainland China I wonder?

Ah, a man who dares speak what all merely see!

It's very clear that the OP makes short planks look positively svelte by comparison.
