They actually pronounce it: Illooooooooooominum, God bless their little cotton socks :D

hi everyone , having just returned from a 3 month FANTASTIC stint in N.S. We have come to the conclusion that canadians elaberate "A" 's as in van = vaaaaaaaaaaan gas = gaaaaaaaaaaaaaas which i must confess i like to take the p out of my relatives all in good taste you understand :D anyway been back 3 weeks today and already feel we were back 3 years ah well , roll on july ................... shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaron :D |

My borther in law on his first trip to the UK some years back, kindly went up to the Bar to get the round in....and very loudly said to the barmaid.."yep i'll take a pint of your laay-ger please!!," of course we very softly translated ..."can we have one pint of larger please, when you have a minute...dont rush!!! thank you.!!! :beer: , :D

I myself prounounce it as "erbs". But I've heard that's the American pronunciation - so I try to say "herbs" but the past keeps sneaking back in there! Fluffy |
