Just thank Mother Nature that you don't have play sports in the rain during a Scottish winter as shown in the link below

My in-laws in Montreal were without power for two weeks after that. They subsequently had a log burner installed in the basement. It's hooked up to the air ducts. There is a very large stack of wood in the garage.

I must admit to having a great time during White Juan. A state of emergency was declared to try and dig the city out, so I got 2 days off work and HB and I went sledding. Once we found a corner store and liquor store that were open, albeit limited hours, we could have carried on for days.

In the UK, in the months leading up to Xmas, the people only want one thing...a white Christmas.

Takes me back, when we stayed at Londsdale Quay in North Vancouver in January 05, man those ships fog horns were so close.
Funny thing that Vancouver weather, we had bright sunny cold days, wet cold days, foggy misty wet days, cold dry foggy days, snowy days and cold crisp icy days. +10 degrees down to -8 degrees in 2 weeks. Crazy stuff.
That coastal mist, fog, rain, sleet and mixed up stuff is a few degrees worse than the grey sky stuff we got right here at the moment in the Interior. Least it's dry tho. Til tomorrow.
The weather, eh
Rich.
