Re: Canadian housing
When I used to write my subversive letters to the newspapers back in the 1980s I used to do so from Kremlin Towers.

This looks tasteful and just the sort of place that I could see dbd33 moving into if he wanted to be closer to the indian restaurants in Brampton.

Re: Canadian housing
Rather nicer (& I think the most expensive home for sale in the province at present) is this: https://www.realtor.ca/Residential/S...abrador-A1W5V9
Or if you want your own Island (just about) yet only 20 minutes from St John's there's this: https://www.realtor.ca/Residential/S...abrador-A1W3A7 My concern would be $3m for something that isn't that far above sealevel is a lot of money for the risks that a big storm or rising sea levels bring!

It's little brother in Newfoundland has been for sale for a while. Bit cheaper. Just as tacky: https://www.realtor.ca/Residential/S...abrador-A1W3B4

Re: Canadian housing
I can't decide whether I find the wall to wall cedar overpowering or not. I do think that'd I'd want a kitchen in a solid colour to contrast with the wood. Still, it's not a problem that I expect to have to deal with anytime soon...

I don't understand. There are so many on BE earning fortunes but if they're not buying palatial houses what are they spending their hard earned on?

Re: Canadian housing
If you were selling a $4m home would you want the hoi polloi to see the inside pics of your mansion? I think not. One assumes that if you pass the "you look like you have $4m to drop on a house" test with realtor you get to see the gold plated tables and marble toilet seats.
Kids. Booze. One is required to deal with the other.
