Canadasure
I am at last emigrating at beginning of August after over 5 years in the sponsorship Parents and Grandparents Family class route. I have just sold my house and am now getting to grips with all the necessary things on the to do list.
Tonight I tried to purchase the 3 month medical cover from Canadasure over the internet but when I got to the bit on the form that asked for my employment type, I put in "unemployed" as I will be stopping work next week and of course I don't have a job lined up in Canada yet. However the Canadasure form flagged up the "unemployed" as a hazardous job!! and that I would have to contact them by phone to discuss matters. Has anyone else had this problem with them? Should I just have put my current job title? I can't believe everyone who buys their insurance has a job already lined up in Canada. Thanks Granma Nessie |
Re: Canadasure
I think I put in my job in the UK, but I can't be sure. I'm guessing they want to know the kind of job you're likely to be doing, so they can tell whether you're going to be out chopping down trees or sitting in an office.
That said, I didn't have to claim, so if you do claim and aren't doing the job you said in the application, they might try not to pay up. |
