Is Canada losing the immigration competition?

Is Canada losing the immigration competition?
It's Sunday. I was a bit bored, so was poking around the BE site.
If the BE forum posting stats is anything to go by Canada may well be losing out by way of attracting immigrants compared to Australia (No 1) and USA (No2) as the most popular destinations for British ex-patriates.
Living and Moving Abroad
Under the Canada BE Forum it says:
The second most popular destination for British expatriates. Discuss living in and moving to Canada.
Yet in the BE Forum...
No 1) Australia has: 199,550 Threads (3,170,838 Posts)
No 2) USA has: 135,763 Threads (1,542,762 Posts)
No 3) Canada has: 106,624 Threads (1,229,241 Posts)
Has Canada been overtaken somehow and, over recent years, been relegated from 2nd to 3rd place in the immigration competition?
Is this possibly an indicator that the delay in processing Canadian immigration applicants has put people off in favour of settling in other, easier to access, countries?
I wonder

Bliney, you really are bored! Can I suggest you take up a hobby, or read a book?!
The US is far harder to get in to than Canada, so that rather throws your theory - although the fact that one forum may have more threads than others is possibly the worst analysis for immigration trends that I've ever heard of! Why not look at official figures from each government? After all, it may just be that the info in the Canada Wiki is so brilliant that people get their answers there, instead of in threads?

I'm with Christmasoopma & Mikeypm on this; if we didn't already know you as a regular poster on here, I'd say that would have been a cracking troll thread.

No worries.. it was just a casual observation
I'm about 100 miles offshore from the Shetlands on a subsea construction vessel (Saturation Diving/Remote Operated Vehicles) in the North Sea. The wind is blowing 35-40kts. The seas are 4.0-4.5m. We are doing bugger all waiting on weather. I'm just pleased we still have an internet connection in these conditions
What hobby do you suggest? Counting waves? Looking for seagulls? I'm all ears
I even changed my avatar today... really pushing the boat out on boredom now.

Re: Is Canada losing the immigration competition?
There's a simple reason for your confusion - the statement above is not true. On an annual basis, more Brit expats now head for Australia, Spain, US, France, Germany, New Zealand and maybe even UAE. I don't know why BE is claiming Canada as the #2 destination. Even historical immigration has not lead to Canada now having the second highest total number of Brit expats (it's #4 on that list behind Australia, Spain and the US).

Not so bad now. ROV in the water, dive bell at depth and both sat divers working at -145m.
Anyway... looks like MarylandNed has just thrown a bit of interesting 'on topic' data into the fray

.. and there was me feeling all ganged up on
