Canada Internship Questions???
 

Hi All,
First of all let me tell you a bit about my situation. Ive got another year left until i finish my degree in Business Management in the UK. Im looking to move to Canada through various ways including going as a Student.

With the recent changes to the student visa and being able to work after with an open work permit things are looking good. Ive seen a few diplomas that im interested in. I understand it may be back tracking a bit after a degree but im sure it will still help.

Im interested in looking at my job prospects after i finish the course. The courses are 2 years duration therefore i can get a three year work visa.
Ive looked over many job sites and 99.9% of places want experience.
Im struggling to find listings of the internships. I seen the main site which is ran by Canadian Government but you need to be a student to sign up and view the jobs.

In the UK your probably looking at earnings of 20-25,000 yearly salary. Do Canadian internships offer this much salary and how hard are they to come by. Im still unsure if i would be better staying in the UK for a few more years to get the experience then move over but id really prefer to go sooner rather then later. If anyone can suggest some internships that are realted to business, marketing and finance etc I would be gratefull.

Hi Everyone.

Just bumping this thread. Id still like to here from people that have kids that have gone through internships and graduate schemes etc. I read that Judy in Calgary' s son has just got on one. Where do you hear about them, are there any websites i can look at. Its pointless me coming to study if id struggle to get a decent jobs with prospects afterwards. The job would need to be skilled so I can apply for Skilled Worker Visa. The areas im looking at are marketing, management, corporate buyer etc.

Any hep would be very much appreciated.
