Canada EXPO

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering whether any one has been/or is going to the Opportunities Canada EXPO in Olympia in November. Me and my partner are considering going and are trying to work out whether there will be employers related to our skills. He works as a shipping clerk and has warehousing experience aswell and I work for a marine lab as a GIS analyst and records assistant.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jayne

We travelled from Ireland to London EXPO in June. We weren't totally disappointed as there was good information on Calgary and Alberta. There were also good talks given by Canadian Immigration. However don't expect too much on the employment side of things. Make sure and research the list of employers exhibiting but then again quite a few didn't turn up at the show either!!! This forum will provide you with all the information you need:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Re: Canada EXPO

How does the emigrate2 show fair against the expo show?:thumbdown: or are they both a waste of time?? I was about to book for the expo show, but having 2nd thoughts now. Have already got tickets for the emigrate show so i'm going anyway . Hoping to get further info on AB and ON.

Re: Canada EXPO

Dont rely on getting info re employment even if you find are told employers relating to your field will be there.
Hubby went to a show last year to speak with Alberta reps with regards to the police out there and on the day he they didn`t. Sods law.
Hes now waiting for a job offer from Calgary police but its all been done ourselves not help from outside parties and this site is great for info so your better off staying at home on the pc rather than wasting your money!!

I have got to add to everyone elses comments it was a total waste of time and to be honest you would be as well taking your cash and throwing it in the thames. If you ask on the site there are prob people with free tickets as everyone who complained got free tickets, i am afraid i have given mine away as i wouldnt go even for free.
