My boyfriend is from the states, and I from Canada. He is applying for a waiver to get to Canada. He has a criminal record. My question is, will we be able to marry and have him move here?, or does the record go against us? how much time are we looking at. We meet every month in the states ,and it is killing us both. He has everything together for the waiver, but we would like to get married. Any help would be appreciated. We have been together for seven months.

More details are needed before you could get any kind of answer to your questions.
When was he convicted, for what offense, what was the sentence imposed? etc. It would be better to get advice from a consulatant member of the Organization of Professional Immigration Consultants or a lawyer member of the Immigration Bar. Jim Humphries mandy wrote: > > > > > > > > > |
What waiver are you refering to?
If you intend on bringing him as a fiancee or spouse you would seek = rehabilitation. --=20 Good luck, Berto Volpentesta, B.A. (Spec. Hons.), B.Ed.
