Calling you Lethbridgeonians!

Hi Gay, Mrs Miggins and anybody else in Lethbridge! (or anyone else that has a suggestion!!!)

We are more than likely picking up another car from the US this weekend, as Lethbridge is the nearest metropolis to the Coutts/Sweetgrass border we will be spending the night. It is also my hubby's birthday (he is very excited about the pressie we are picking up - just hope it looks like the piccies:blink:) )So we are thinking of staying in a slightly better hotel (better than a Motel 6 or Days Inn anyhow), 'specially seeing as daughter will be away on camp:thumbsup:. So! Have you got any ideas? Also any reccomendations for decent restaurants? Otherwise we will just book something from the pretty piccies on the net, or wing it and end up at a Motel 6:(

Fanks peeps:wub:

I have never stayed at this place, but I have heard very complimentary reviews of Cobblestone Manor B&B in Cardston.

Isn't Cardston a dry (as in no alcohol) town.

How about the Lethbridge Lodge and for a restaurant location that's a little different try Ric's Grill in the old water tower.

Hubby doesn't drink much so that's not a problem.....Thanks for the plan B Steve - at least I could have a glass or two of something with plan B - seeing as I have my designated driver;)

hi Piff

What about the sandman on mayor macgrath ? Pretty central in Lethbridge and should be easy enough for you to find on your way up through town. Check out the Lethbridge Wiki Pages as there are links on there for the different hotels in town.

The Keg on Mayor Mcgrah is a great place for a decent steak I can highly reccomend it.
As for hotel I have only stayed in the Sandman it was clean and comfortable but I think your after something with a bit more style.
For something different why not try a local ranch that does B+B im sure the local scenery would be a lovely setting.(Sorry I dont have time to google it for you right now). But have previoulsy looked and there are a few cabin style places on some ranches.

Good luck and have a good trip.

OMG Piff - I am certainly thick today - if you want something a little special try The Lethbridge Lodge . My uncle helped build it !!!!!

Really something special and a nice ambiance to it too - have been there for drinks in the evening - they have a kind of indoor garden thing going on

Re: Calling you Lethbridgeonians!

I tried booking 1st the Lethbridge Lodge and then the Sandman - both booked so started looking at other options.

Hubby came home from work and asked if I'd managed to get anything booked, when I said no, there all full, he said that's good the shippers haven't been to pick the car up.

He hasn't been able to get in touch with the shippers for 2 days......The car is coming from Oklahoma.......Yep the place that has a state of emergency:eek::eek:

The bloke we are buying the car from has been in touch - he hasn't told us anything worrying....Yet:eek:

So instead of going to the border to collect a car we are going to Hinton to collect a different one:rolleyes: It's like an addiction. I should get him on Intervention.
