Default Calgary grocery price comparison for January

Once again it's time for that monthly waste of cyberspace thread.

Once again Real Canadian Superstore wins the day.

Oh and I was otherwise occupied last month so missed the comparison, here it is now, better late than never.

Superstore opens in Peterborough soon, so we may have some decent produce in the city for once.

I think you mean "marginally cheaper produce". Who knows about quality?

Well, the Real Canadian Superstores I have seen have better stuff than is usually on offer around here, so I am hopefull. Especially as so many tell me that the quality of stuff in Canada is better, so it must be going somewhere, just not where I shop.

I do hope not Steve - for your sake.

(Thought I'd clarify who's sake !! - just in case you thought I thought the grocery list was more important )

Now then, where were we? - ah yes, the wonders of Superstore .....

yeah and don't forget if you do alarge shop, like some of us do
there is coupons when you walk in the door, plus where the products are if you are tempted

This week they have $30 off if you spend $250, so worth it when you are bulk shopping

It's interesting that RCSS comes out the cheapest, my non scientific observation on prices are that the pricing order here is (highest first) Sobeys, RCSS, A&P, Price Chopper, Food Basics. Though I think some of these stores don't operate in Alberta.....
