engine size makes no matter, you could get a truck for a $1000 and get it insured for fire and theft. Also if you get the policy in your parents name you could go on it. Also you can only drive on your uk lisence for 90 days, and may have to take a canadian test. You will need your passport to register the vechile in your name, plus it will need a safety inspection and a plate on it which is registered in your name.
