Business networking in Canada ?
Up until a few weeks ago I was due to embark on a new venture in Vancouver, but due to circumstance I know find myself having to reconsider.
I have developed a software product for use in crime scene documentation and training and this was to be the foundation of a small company in BC. New business start-up is something I have done a few occasions in the UK, but I couldn't contemplate doing this on my own in 'a foreign land' without someone to look after the business side of things. My business partner was a Canadian national who I have known for many years, unfortunately ill health has forced my 'guardian' into retirement. I now have to find a partner in Canada or base the business in the UK, which at 52 years of age stifles the prospect of a new life in Canada. I would welcome any links or suggestions to business networking that anyone here may have experience of. Thanks Johno |

Yes as RICH said it's not very different to the UK, but with your particular venture I would say that marketing is going to be the biggest issue, but I guess you will already have done research into the level of interest in your product. Presumably your customers are going to be the police forces?

Thanks Johno I am a software product peddler incorporated in Canada and the US with a few police forces and universities as clients. I'd be interested to hear a little more about the idea. |
