bunac for non student help
 

hello am looking for some help infomation on the bunac canada as a non student i am currently in canada now and have been for 2 years now as a vistor and my vistore extention runs out on the 27th of feb 2009 i will apply for a new extention or will i need to or not if i do the non student bunac. also is it even possible for me to do it while in canada calgary with out leaving canada and paying airfair ect i have enough money to support my self ect just need some expert advice on my situation thanks. i now no that u dont have to be in uk while it is processed but still need other help on it

Hi.

The new BUNAC programme allows applications to be submitted whilst you are outside of the country so theoretically you could do this. However your visitor visa is not valid long enough to enable you to do this.

a. You will need to check if they even have any non-student visas left
b. If they do you will need to apply to get on the programme and then submit your application. It generally takes immigration up to 6 weeks to approve this and send your authorization letter.
c. Once you have your letter you would still need to leave canada and then re-enter (plus have proof of airfare showing you intend to leave at the end)
