I applied online for UK passport renewals for my daughter & I. I fedexed the documents required in separate envelopes with the PEX numbers and they were delivered on March 18 to Durham.

I've had reminder emails to send the documents and it's still not showing as received online. I sent a couple of messages as yet unanswered even though it says we should get a reply within 72 hours.

Anyone else had anything similar recently?

HMPO is pretty backed up now that people want to travel again and have realised their passports expired at some point over the last two years. Five weeks is the current turnaround time.

Hi, I applied for new UK passport and sent it from Ottawa in January and they acknowledged receipt of my expired UK passport. They asked for my valid Canadian passport so I sent that on 11 Feb. They emailed me a few times asking me to send it even though I had sent it but they still haven't acknowledged receiving my Canadian passport but they're no longer emailing me asking for me to send it so I think (hope!) they're received it by now. I called them last week but the recorded message says the process is taking 10 weeks if you live in the UK and longer if you're overseas so I abandoned the phone call. I'm glad I have no plans to leave Canada this year!

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like delays all round then.

I finally got an email on 6 April saying they had received my docs (which had arrived on 18 March).

After applying for a passport renewal online on 17th Jan I finally had an email today, 25th April, to say my application has been approved and the passport is now being printed.

Same although we applied in early March.

The new ones arrived back a week or two ago.

What hasn't arrived back are our cancelled old passports.
