Boarding kennel recommendation ottawa
Hi, all being well we will be making the big move at the beginning of September. As we won't have anywhere to stay on our arrival we will need to place our german shepherd into kennels for a short time while we get ourselves sorted. Can anyone recommend a good boarding kennel within 30 minutes of Ottawa. Thanks in advance.

We did this - but with our cats. We used Place for Paws:
2432 Old Highway 17, Rockland, ON, K4K1K7 - 613-446-2280, quite convenient if you are coming in via Montreal.

Hi thanks for the info. I would still like to hear from dog owners as I imagine that the care offered to cats differs significantly to that of dogs

We use Gloucester Boarding Kennels for our spaniel, you can find it on the web. Very clean, very efficient - something like $18 daily for a medium sized dog, they provide the food unless you want to bring your own - and then there are a range of add on options like exercise with other dogs, leashed walks etc. All vaccinations must be up to date, and I think from what I remember, the first time we used them we had to pay cash. Anyhow, have a look at the website, they are about 20 mins from downtown. There is also Eastway Kennels at Navan, also supposed to be good, but a bit further out.

We've used Bekkers in Stittesville for our cats and they look after dogs too.
They seem to take good care, from what I've seen.

We used Tails and Trails http://www.tailsandtrails.ca/ a couple of weeks ago for our puppy and cat.
