GOOD location (close to shops and the new stoney trail) and 500 less than you said. (I'd jump at it as a short term rental)

I expect you will get a very comprehensive benefit package with the CPS. It will be unlikely that you will need to pay for more. If $65k is the base wage you should be OK. Actual earnings are likely to be quite a bit more with OT.

to the o/p, firstly you need to go onto the police section of this forum. you will find two very lengthy threads there, of which probably your best source of info will be ann. she has been over here with her husband, CPS for around 3yrs, i have been here a little less than that with EPS.
on the threads everything is covered, all the bills, take home pay, tax, pension, overtime, allowances and medical coverage.
you have a lot of reading to do. enjoy.
