No problem. I was just happy to help. Has Wayne got in contact with Sara Snow about arriving for work? If you have misplaced her email address then give me a shout, I'll send it to you.

Good luck in Canada and maybe we can meet up in Regina once I move to Moose Jaw. Give my best to Wayne.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Re: A BIG Thank You

Hi karla, OH and I are also moving to Sask - we are going over in September to have a nosey! The Lancashire born owners of a B&B near Regina Beach may be able to get him a job as a Heavy Plant mechanic but he is being stubborn(Typical man) and insists he only wants to work on cars or small engines. But I will work on him and put a huge guilt trip on him ie "e could be there a lot quicker if you would make this sacrifice for a few years instead of waiting three years or more for SW"-yes I know I am a bi**h.:pTE

If you have any info to help on our way I would love to hear from you. At the start there seemed to be no one at all going to Sask and I was very worried we were doing the wrong thing but now I have spoken to a few.

Hi Alison, your not a bi**ch - just a great partner. I am not too cluded up on mechanics jobs - but my mission tonight will be too look into it for you. I know "who you know" is better than "what you know" in Canada - we found out this first hand.

What have you found out so far? What is your OH looking for? Where do you want to settle in SK or do you not mind? Is any other province a option?

I'll email you when I find things out.

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

OH is registered with www.jobsetc.com and monster/workopolis etc We have sent our resumes to upwards of 50 employers since middle of April. One guy in Kindersley said he was interested but then we never heard anything since. About two weeks ago I sent him a quick email to see if he was still intereseted as we were - but nothing. Others have also said its not who you know etc so maybe the trip out in September will help.

He is a trained car mechanic/atv's/garden machinery/outboard engines and small plant etc. He did say he was up for a career change - but who knows?
Thanks for any help.
Forgot to say we dont mind where in SK although not too far North of saskatoon, but beggars cant be choosers.
